The 10-week IHK certificate course „Specialist in Health and Social Services (IHK),“ conducted in cooperation with the IHK Pfalz, qualifies you for supportive tasks in the care and accompaniment of people in need of help. You will learn to relieve professionals in their daily work and provide professional support to individuals. The course is aimed at career changers, nursing assistants, and those returning to the workforce. At the end, there is an IHK final exam – upon successful completion, you will receive an IHK certificate.

You will learn the basics of care: personal hygiene, support with nutrition and mobility as well as how to deal with elderly people and people with dementia.
You will also train in care documentation, communication within the team and with relatives and gain insights into emergency situations, housekeeping and geriatrics.
This module focuses on social care. You will learn how to activate senior citizens in everyday life, organize joint activities and promote their quality of life.
Another focus is on dementia, biography work and the role and legal basis of caregivers in care facilities.
We will accompany you on your way into the nursing profession. You will develop confidence in nursing terminology and in communicating with those in need of care, relatives and the team.
We also support you with application training and personal coaching to get you started in nursing - with real job opportunities.
Blocks 1 and 2 are prerequisites for the 3rd block. Once you've completed them, you can complete the certificate course with an IHK final exam in just 10 more weeks.
